Pastor Joey serves as founder and pastor of Daystar Family Worship Center. His ministry has seen tremendous growth since it's inception in March of 2006 - all GLORY TO GOD! Winning souls to the Lord is his passion. He started in evangelism in his early twenties as he was attending East Coast Bible College in Charlotte, NC, where he received his bachelors in Biblical Studies and also met his wife Tracy. In 1998 he took a position as youth pastor where he spent the next seven years being groomed into the pastor he is today. He has a heavy burden for the church to "Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in..." (Luke 14:23).
Pastor Joey, Tracy and daughters, Kelsi and Christian, love the Lord with all their hearts and enjoy involving themselves in ministry. God has faithfully poured out His mercy and love on this family.
Pastor Roger became our associate pastor in August of 2008. Saved at nine years old and called to preach at age fourteen, he has served in just about every ministry of the church from janitorial to youth pastor and even senoir pastoring two churches. He received his formal ministry training at East Coast Bible College in Charlotte, NC, and at Jimmy Swaggart Bible College in Baton Rouge, LA. While at JSBC, he met his wife, Paula. They married in May of 1990 and have three miracle children: Caleb, Rachel and Abigail. Pastor Roger is particularly gifted in Bible teaching and discipleship. His passion is to help believers grow to maturity that they may be established and fulfill their purpose in the Kingdom of God.
Lisa was born and raised in the Church of God. As a little girl she knew that God was calling her into music ministry. She has had the opportunity to work in all areas of ministry (kids, youth, and adults). Lisa received her minister of music license in 2006. God led Lisa and her family to Daystar September, 2007. Lisa's desire is to lead people into the very throne room of God through intimate worship. She also has a vision to take music outside the walls of the church to minister to those hurting in the community.
Her husband, Chad, and three children: Kara, Ana, and Austin, are her lovely family.
Bro. Chris and his family joined the Daystar family in February 2009. He has worked with youth in various fields for 10 years. He received his calling to be a Youth Pastor on a Shabbach trip in 2006. While working to receive his Exhorter license, he served as a Singles Pastor. He received his Bachelor's in Biblical Studies and completed the CAMS Program to be licensed in 2008. His heart's desire is to see youth grow in Christ that they may lead others to know Him.
Bro. Chris is married to his wonderful wife Angela, and has three daughters: Samantha, Caitlin, and Cassie.
We are so excited at Daystar FWC to have a high voltage children's ministry. We are convinced that all things are possible through Jesus Christ. This ministry deals with everyday life and utilizes music, puppets, skits, dramas and object lessons to teach your children the Gospel. Our mission is to reinforce the Christian training the children receive in their homes and encourage them in their personal walk with Christ. In 1 Corinthians 9:22 the Bible says: "I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some."
We love children and we love ministering to them in ways they can comprehend.
Bro. Major is married to Sis Ronda, and they have two daughters: Samantha and Beth Russell.
